Library Card

The Southwest Georgia Regional Library System is part of the Georgia PINES network of libraries. We will issue library cards free of charge to individuals who meet one of the following criteria:

PINES Library Card
  • reside in Georgia
  • own property in Georgia
  • attend school in Georgia
  • are employed by a business in Georgia
Out-of-state library cards may be issued for a $25 annual fee or $12.50 for six months. With a PINES library card, you can:

  • check out books, audiobooks, magazines and DVDs
  • place holds and access your online account
  • access library databases from home
  • download audiobooks, ebooks and magazines
  • use the library’s public computer and internet
In order to obtain a card, visit any Southwest Georgia Regional Library location to fill out a short form and present a photo I.D. and proof of your current address.

Library Cards for Children & Teens                 

There is no age limit to apply for a library card. Children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present and sign their library card application when applying for a card. For a child to access the Internet, parent/guardians must be present in the library (if child is under the age of 12) and consent to our Internet and Computer Policies and Regulations. All fines/fees are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
