Genealogy
The Southwest Georgia Regional Library System has a core collection of genealogy and
Georgia history books in each branch. Over 1000 books in Seminole, Miller, and Decatur
counties comprise this unique collection. In addition, the Decatur Library also has the
extensive Family Search CD Rom genealogy database, a public access computer with Internet
access and the "Bainbridge Post-Searchlight" newspaper on microfilm dating back
to 1916.
Decatur County Genealogical Society
The Decatur County Genealogical Society meets at 7 p.m. on the 4th Monday of each month
